Meet Mr Mohammad Asgher Ali.

Mr Ali lives in the same village as the Francis family.

For many years, he had tended a small plot of land by himself.

Mr Ali has one leg and relies on a rudimentary wooden prosthetic to get around.

In recent years, working the land with one leg had become increasingly difficult to the point of impossibility.

The Francis family have supported Mr Ali since then, looking after him with a little work, with food and companionship.

Gloria Francis says that Mr Ali wanted to maintain his independence and dearly wanted to be able to run a small outdoor shop and tea service for rural workers.

Thanks to an AMDG donor, he now has his wish.

Vice Chair of AMDG, Roshni can be seen in these pictures with the provisions.

Mr Ali wishes to convey his thanks to everyone at AMDG for their support and care.

This is another example of how a small contribution can make a big difference. The local connection through Roshni and the Francis family makes it possible.
